It’s Friday yet again and I feel like the summer is already passing me by! It’s finally HOT here, and I’m so thankful for our covered patio… and our stalwart AC system! Our Friday Favorites this week feature some really fun new tools and ideas — I’d love to hear about what you’ve been DIYing this summer!

Favorite new tool: The Created Home has an awesome new carving tool that helped her make these gorgeous corbels! (You could also likely adapt to use a jigsaw, like we used for the corbels we made here.)

Favorite Disney: We are totally and completely Disney-obsessed, so of course, we need this doormat. Doesn’t everyone?! This option is also tempting… so maybe one for the front door and one for the back!

Favorite easy before-and-after: Not all makeovers require demolition or even paint (although it does make a huge difference) — A Darling Design made her porch nice and cozy with some new pillows, rugs, and curtains.

Favorite calm and comfortable room: From the wall treatment to the headboard and the pillows, this room looks ready to dive in with a good book or a Netflix binge! We found similar gold mermaid pillows here and here, for those of you who love those like I do. (Photo ©Remodelaholic | Home built by Millhaven Homes, Design by Millhaven Interiors)

Favorite why didn’t I think of that: I have seen these pretty Moroccan patterned tiles around and never once thought to combine them to make cute planters like Pillar Box Blue did! So cheap, so easy. Adding these to my list…

Favorite chalkboard: This chalkboard barn door on the pantry is so cute! We shared a building plan for a similar chalkboard door set here that would be easily adapted if you’d like to make your own. (Photo ©Remodelaholic | Home built by Millhaven Homes, Design by @allisoncampbelldesign)

Favorite new paint trick: I love playing with paint and Lantern Lane Designs put the paint to the test with her experiment for marbled vases to create a beautiful finished set!

Favorite playhouse: This playhouse is off. the. hook. (Is that still a thing or am I dating myself? anyway…) I will always love our cottage bunk beds and this amazing indoor playhouse gets me so inspired to build another version! From the roofing to the mini dutch door (which you know we love) — I just can’t get enough! (Photo ©Remodelaholic | Home built by McEwan Custom Homes, Interior Design by Alice Lane Home)
