Simple Gender Reveal Photo Shoot Ideas
You’re expecting a baby — congratulations!
You’ve had your ultrasound and know the sex of your baby — congratulations!
But you’re also still living your life and busy and also… tired. Bone tired.
So you want to share your exciting news with the world, in an easy way.
So you can still have time for an extra nap (take care of yourself, mama!).
Here are 3 simple gender reveal photo shoot ideas — some of them you don’t even have to show yourself and your tired face 😉
PS: They’re cheap, too, so you can save your pennies for decorating the nursery!

1: A Gender Reveal Sign
A boy or girl sign is an easy way to photograph a gender reveal!
Our printable pregnancy sign sets include both the Hello World as pictured below, and “It’s a Boy” and “It’s a Girl” variations. Just type in your info, print, and snap a picture.
Add a colorful accessory (either a baby’s or your own) and you’re ready to reveal!
You can also use a cute chalkboard or a letterboard, too.

2: Use Balloons
There’s just something inherently fun about using balloons for photos, and a gender reveal is definitely fun!
Grab a pre-made gender reveal balloon kit or stop by the party store for pink or blue balloons for a photo using a sign (like our printable above) or a photo like this:
or a baby announcement made with scrabble tiles (or make your own jumbo scrabble tiles!)
or by doing a balloon drop pull string pinata! (or reverse it and let helium balloons float out of the box)
3: Pink or Blue Food

For simpler gender reveal food ideas, you can take a photo
- sipping a pink or blue soda and ice cream float or fruity cream float or mocktail
- biting into a blue velvet cupcake or pink strawberry meringue cookie
- baking up a batch of chocolate chip M&M cookies — with only pink or blue M&Ms!
