Hi Remodelaholics, Cyndy here from The Creativity Exchange back for this month’s paint color post.  If you happened to miss my post last month, I shared great colors that work well with warm wood tones and trim here.

For my post today, I’m doing another Color Spotlight on a beautiful happy color called Wythe Blue from Benjamin Moore.

With spring here and the summer coming, I really wanted to highlight Wythe Blue today because it’s such an all-around happy, versatile and spectacular paint color that is the perfect color for a quick refresh anywhere in the home.  I have mentioned in my past Color Spotlights that a great sign of a well rounded paint color is if it looks good on everything including interior walls, exterior and cabinetry.  In my opinion, only about 20% of paint colors work beautifully in any light and both interior and exterior applications.

Wythe Blue is really an all-star color and I wanted to show what all this rich green/gray with an ever so slight hint of blue color can do.

Interior Walls

In space with little or no natural light, the gray in the undertone stands out more for a beautiful muted blue/green color.

In spaces with a lot of natural light, Wythe Blue leans more citrus-y and the blue/green stands out more.

Interior Cabinetry

Wythe Blue looks amazing on cabinetry and it’s such a happy alternative to grays and whites.  It’s a great way to add a little more character and color to a space.

Oh, wow, this cabinet color is gorgeous! Colorful but not too bold. (Paint color info in the post)

Wythe is also stunning used in the back of cabinetry or shelving.

Interior Doors

Interior doors are a great place to add a great pop of color and Wythe Blue is an all-star interior door color.  As you can see in the image below, Wythe Blue on the door really makes this beautiful entry shine.

Exterior

Wythe Blue is one of the most popular exterior door, trim and shutter color right now because it just adds rich color and life.

Have I made my case for finding a spot to incorporate Wythe Blue into your home?  I hope so because it’s just a happy and versatile color that will bring a smile.
