Chip & Joanna’s Tiny House + More (Remodelaholics Anonymous)
Happy Friday and welcome to the first Remodelaholics Anonymous party of the summer! Time is FLYING but we are having so much fun, so I guess I should expect that 😉
Before we dive into our Friday Favorites and RA features this month — a little bit of business for those of you who link up: we’re combining our regular Friday Favorites with our link party features for a double-whammy of awesome (which also means that we’ll be having a new link party every week instead of every month — hopefully it’s easier for everyone to remember to come share every Friday instead of whatever the first Friday of the month happens to be). We’ll be continuing to share our favorites over on Facebook and Pinterest — so be sure to link and pretty please tell your friends to come share their awesome projects, too!
Wondering about being featured? Now that we’ve gotten that business out of the way — here are some of our favorites and show us your awesomeness in the party below!
Favorite house number: Every house should have a number, but it can be as unique and creative as you are! This easy one by Craftivity Designs (from the party) is a nice twist on the regular old house numbers, but I love the design on the wood. (House numbers can go INSIDE, too… if you’re me 😉
Favorite kids bed: I do have a thing for cool kids beds, but this one is both a great bed AND a great reading nook AND beyond adorable. It’s by a company called crocodily that I found over on Instagram, but now I’m itching to build one.
Favorite DIY floors: Aren’t Gina’s floors amazing? And she DIYed them and saved a LOT of money, too! I love my new floors, but this is a great budget-friendly DIY option, too! Get the details over at The Shabby Creek Cottage.
Favorite IKEA hack: I’ve seen lots and lots of IKEA hacks, but I love seeing hacks that make me say, “Nah, that wasn’t IKEA!” This fun industrial hack of the Billy bookcase that Grillo Designs shared at the party made me do a double take. Such a fun feature for a kids’ room!
Favorite random kitchen gadget: I may or may not find a new cool gadget every week. It’s kind of a problem. But this awesome watermelon slicer looks too good to be true. I really want to try it! (And you can get your own on Amazon* here, *affiliate link)
Favorite haven’t-seen-that-before: From the link party, Paint Yourself a Smile redid her son’s room and that copper pipe desk is a really cool twist on the idea of a pipe desk.
Favorite tiny house: Another thing that I love — this week I’m loving on the combination of my favorite tiny house concepts with two of my favorite people: Chip and Joanna! Check out more of this Fixer Upper tiny house over on HGTV’s Facebook page.
Favorite dreamy kitchen: I’ve seen photos of this open air kitchen floating around for a couple of years, but I finally did some sleuthing and found the source. It’s part of an AMAZING 1860’s farmhouse renovation by Archia Homes — be sure to check out the whole thing over on their site because the kitchen is just the start of the gorgeous features of this home.
Favorite paint technique: Color-washing is one of my favorite ways to personalize wood and wood furniture, and I love the colors that Robb Restyle blended to create this lovely blue nightstand, shared at the link party.
Lorene has been behind the scenes here at Remodelaholic for more than a decade! She believes that planning projects and actually completing them are two different hobbies, but that doesn't stop her from planning at least a dozen projects at any given time. She spends her free time creating memories with her husband and 5 kids, traveling as far as she can afford, and partaking of books in any form available.
