Striped Bathroom Reveal
Submitted by Lavender and Lemon Drops
I solved my debate between stripes and solids. I can’t wear horizontal stripes but my bathroom sure can! I finished my boy’s bathroom and I’m in LOVE! I changed the paint color from the “builder tan” and did blue and off white stripes. I switched out the brown decor for some neutrals and a few accent colors. It’s made the bathroom SO much brighter! Here are a few before pictures.
I removed those towel racks and replacing them with something much better. I have a tip on how to remove those darn things for ya too! Keep reading to see the big reveal and learn how…
It’s made the bathroom SO much brighter!
I purchased the cute bird shower curtain from West Elm.
All of the awesome glass jars are my antique finds that I’m still in love with.
I found the old shower caddy at The Nook and Cranny antique shop in Lehi, Utah.
These cute DIY art prints were the easiest thing ever! I used Carly Kay’s idea and they are perfect in the bathroom!
So what do you think? We love it and my sweet boys like their blue bird bathroom!
I love this! The stripes and the bird shower curtain look fantastic together! Well done!
I love this. I have a question. You show some question towel hooks below your DIY art. Where did you get them? I need some hooks now that I made the coat closet into a china closet and these would be perfect.
I love it! It looks so great! The blue is perfect for brightening up the space!
I love stripes! Looks great in that bathroom.
Love the stripes! What kind of tape did you use and do you have any tips on keeping the paint from running under the tape?
I have a couple of questions too!! I LOVE this. I just peeled off wallpaper in our guest bath/daughter’s bathroom and was planning on doing yellow and white stripes. (I am so excited) What size are your stripes? I thought I had already figured out what I was going to do but I love yours and they are a tad narrower. Also…where did you get the hooks that are under your chalkboard artwork? I would love something like that for some curtains I am doing in another room! Thanks for sharing your room. love how it turned out!!!
I love this!!! You did an awesome job! This is a really great look for the bathroom.
I L-O-V-E that shower curtain. In fact, on Friday I will be posting about my master bathrom, which features a (different) bird-themed shower curtain.
Thanks for the spotlight! I appreciate all of the awesome comments! To answer a few questions. 1. The hooks were purchased at a local store called Rod Works. You can find similar hooks at Hobby Lobby. 2.I can’t remember the exact width of my stripes. Here are the instructions I used to determine their width: “Measure the full length of your wall and divide that number by twice the number of stripes that you want to have minus one (ex: our ceiling is 98″ tall and we wanted six horizontal stripes so we divided 98 by 11 (6 x 2 = 12 – 1 = 11) to get the thickness of each stripe. Ours came out to about 8.9 inches” I found this at https://www.younghouselove.com/2009/06/walking-the-line/. Hope that helps 🙂
Wow! What a huge difference! I love it!
I love the blue and off-white that you used. Would you mind telling me what the names/brands of the paint are? Thanks!
