It has not been a super long winter where we are.  In fact, I would say it has been pleasant, with just enough snow and cold to be a proper season change and provide the kids with some good sledding.  But I would not be telling the whole truth if I didn’t say I am excited for spring and summer to be here!

So much so,  that I decided to invite some “fresh” spring flowers to share our home with us for a while.  And I am telling you at has been so cheerful to see these beautiful garlands through out my house  (and BONUS they made a perfect added decoration for my 5 year old’s birthday party last week!)

We pulled inspiration for this month’s Canon printable from the Camellia flower, with some creative liberties of course.

Ultimately, my graphic designer came up with these, and I am so in love with them!

Don’t you love it too?  Good!  Because they are an easy instant download printable that you, too, can make!

I decided that a video tutorial for actually putting the flowers together would be best and really I had a lot of fun making it.  Please click to watch, give us a thumbs up and subscribe to our YouTube channel! (Can’t see the video? Watch it here.)

We printed the flowers from our beautiful gold  Canon PIXMA MG7720 on to 8.5″ x 11″ white card stock, the print is double sided, and was SO easy in our PIXMA printer, and you can see in the tutorial video just how easy it was to print. And if you want the same awesome wired raffia “vine” — you can get it here on Amazon (affiliate link).

This project is the perfect Netflix binge craft BTW!  You get your TV and feel like you accomplished something at the same time!! (wait, am I trying to make excuses for watching the first season of White Collar last week?… maybe!)  Lastly, because we are so in love with these I have to share how they look hung up in our entry:

  1. Those garlands are beautiful! My sister and her husband actually did something like this for their wedding–they created garlands of all different sizes and colors and decorated the entire room with them. It turned out REALLY nice, and it cost much less than having someone come in and decorate.
