Day 8; Leaf throwing and Donut Picnics
So yeah, if you’ve been reading, you may have noticed that this whole “31 days” thing has gotten the better of me. (I admit defeat… really quietly! ). I still *want* to finish, I just don’t think I am going to make the October deadline. Ha ha, lets be frank here, I KNOW there is no way on earth I am going to make the October deadline. But in my defense, I thought it would be better for me to let go my ignorant assumption that I could write two posts a day no problemo, instead, I am admitting defeat to avoid the nervous breakdown.
Seriously though, I have a whole schedule of 31 days posts to get to know us better that I still want to chat about, I and I am hoping to finish up. But, I sorta want to talk about real time life what’s goin’ on ‘round here.
Today has been a great day off. We had a donut picnic in the backyard and played in the leaves.
Happy babies, beautiful weather… forgetting about the mess inside! Priceless!
Daddy raked all the leaves over to the bottom of the slide! For double impact in jumping in the leaves!
Nothing like attacking mommy’s head with a fistful of leaves!
Now it is Daddy’s turn!
The girl’s favorite thing to do was our Fall leaf throwing! on the count of 3, 1…2…3… THROW!
Justin decided to slide down the slide. maybe not the best decision!! His pocket got stuck, on the side of the slide, it was so funny I was laughing so hard I couldn’t help for like 3 minutes…
What fun things are you guys doing to enjoy this beautiful fall?
Cassity Kmetzsch started Remodelaholic after graduating from Utah State University with a degree in Interior Design. Remodelaholic is the place to share her love for knocking out walls, and building everything back up again to not only add function but beauty to her home. Together with her husband Justin, they have remodeled 6 homes and are working on a seventh. She is a mother of four amazing girls. Making a house a home is her favorite hobby.
A donut picnic– sounds like fun! When I was a full-time nanny, I was Queen of the snow picnic, bundling those little guys up and going out to lunch among the drifts.
This autumn, I’m working on a children’s book project, and trying recipes for pumpkin muffins, one by one.
Hope you and your sweet crew have a great November. I’ll be back to check!
