Antique Hutch Makeover
Submitted By: Shabby To Chic Queen Creek
Here is my hutch makeover and to say this was a difficult makeover would be an understatement. The wood is so old on this, that everytime I would paint it seemed it wouldn’t cover the old wood. I like how the finished product came out and I think it looks really good in this spot near my bathroom. I’m using it to put extra towels in and to store some bathroom items until she sells.
Here is what it looked like before
And here she is after………………
What do you guys think?

gosh…is it possible to have a furniture crush? well, if it is…I have a major crush! That is just great and truly wants to come live in my home! Great job!
I love this. I want a hutch like this so much it makes my teeth hurt! Gorgeous.
wow wow WOw that is gorgeous! Love it 🙂
It’s absolutely lovely. You’d never know you had a problem with it. One thing to try next time you’re covering stained finishes, use an oil-based primer to keep the stain from bleeding through the new paint. Water-based primers usually don’t block the stain.
Love it, want it!!
I want it. That means I really like it =)
Thanks Remodelaholic for posting my Hutch makeover. Thanks for all the kind words about it as well. She is still sitting in that same spot in my bathroom. 🙂
Great job, such a great piece. I love the original details on the “side panels”!
