Let’s go fly a kite!

Up to the highest height!

We surprised Justin’s brother Greg on Monday. They had no idea we were in Utah. (We had to get all tricky and scout out what they were doing that day. Thanks Missa and Heidi, luckily they were staying home!)

Shirley’s parent’s were in town. Her dad has a really cool remote control jet that we went to fly in the park, along with some kites. I have never been kite flying– hey give me a break, I was the 7th child, they had all been there, done that by the time I got to earth.

Did I mention we took about a million pictures on this trip?

(wait, don’t we always?…um, don’t answer that)

Forgive, me for the nose picking picture, the kid is just too cute for words!
I think I took a million pictures of just “Socky” alone!

Here we are on the way to the park.

Jet time.
This thing was seriously cool. Justin will have to make one someday, we should get the plans… Anyway, not only did we fly it, but Shirley’s Dad had a camera that attached to the jet, then we went home and watched the footage, it was really neat. The little boys ran back and forth while it flew around doing tricks, flips, and rolls. Wouldn’t this be a fun Daddy/son project?
(we’ll have to work on the son part, humph…)
Then it was time to play in the park, the slides were a hit
as well and the water spigot and sandy volley ball courts… as shown below.
We went back and Etta practiced smiling, which is surprisingly hard to catch on film.
The smiling officially started happening Wednesday September 2nd, and everyday since! Yea!
